Jang Dong Gun Returns to the Big Screen with Ajusshi Director

Jang Dong-gun (A Gentlemanā€™s Dignity) is headed back to the big screen this year, in the much-awaited new project from director Lee Jung-bum of Won Binā€™s Ajusshi, aka The Man From Nowhere. Heā€™s pretty much the leading manā€™s new holy grail as far as directors go, since heā€™s guaranteed to make you look like a badass, so the team-up is as buzzy as buzz projects can be. The action thriller is called Crying Man, and stars Jang Dong-gun as a killerā€¦ with a heart of gold, naturally. I mean, heā€™s Jang Dong-gun, for crying out loud.


The movie will be about a killer falling in love, which I have to say, sounds decidedly less badass than Ajusshi. I guess the crying is because heā€™ll be a sensitive hitman who kills people, but feels bad about it? Or something. Iā€™m sure itā€™ll be much cooler in execution, but it does sound a little funny on paper. His leading lady has yet to be cast, so time to start your fantasy cast lists.

Some reports say Jang Dong-gun is confirmed while others insist he hasnā€™t signed on the dotted line yet, but I donā€™t foresee either party walking away from this deal. Action Jang Dong-gun is right up there with Basketball Jang Dong-gun in my book, so Iā€™m all ready for the swooninā€™. Justā€¦ donā€™t you make him shave his head, okay? DONā€™T MESS WITH THE PRETTY.

Crying Man is still casting, and plans to start shooting later this year.

Finally I am writing my thoughts on episode 23. Even in this last episode, the King never took time to understand the heart of Prince Gwang Hae. It was so easy for him to think that Prince Gwang Hae will take his seat away from him. Yes, Gwang Hae admitted thinking of being a King but it does not mean he has a mind that could be accused of treason. Prince Gwang Hae advised his father that it should be the people he must worry about and not his face because what happens to the lives of the people makes a King's face. The King has not had the face of a king until now because he lacked the understanding and the heart of what his duty entails. His people are not happy and still suffers that's why those transcend to him as the King who over looks on them, giving him the face of not suited to be King. Honestly, I was not so eager to watch the final 2 episodes. Why? Perhaps I know the story is nearing it's end and there'll be no more Secrets to look forward to next week, Why do great dramas end so fast? Hmmm...sighing here. this is somewhat long... Episode 15 Anyway, last week's ending was another cliffhanger for viewers. The question hanging in my mind was, will Do Hoon win in this game he planned? Yes, it is like a game of hide and seek, hiding secrets and seeking the truth.
