Shark Episode 13 Review + mslee's thoughts
[edited]
Even though I was late following the drama, [Shark] I was able to catch up last week. The previous episode finally revealed Han Yi Soo's true identity to Jo Hae Woo and he did not try to deny it further. All clues pointed out to Kim Joon being Yi Soo. Who would know him better than Hae Woo who loved him 12 years ago and still.
Even though I was late following the drama, [Shark] I was able to catch up last week. The previous episode finally revealed Han Yi Soo's true identity to Jo Hae Woo and he did not try to deny it further. All clues pointed out to Kim Joon being Yi Soo. She maybe married to Joong Young, YS friend, still, in the depths of her heart, YS resides. And it seems that it will always be. What I like about the drama is that JY, her husband knows the real score. She loves him because he is the one who stayed with her through all this years. And he hasn't felt threatened yet up to this moment of that kind of affection his wife still holds for YS. Because the reality is he came second. But he won her heart in the end.
I find JY a rightful man who will do the right thing. As for the meantime, he doesn't deserve to be hurt by Hae Woo. He deserved better.
Starting on this episode, YS was at the bookstore. By some instinct, yet not proven, he felt that the ahjussi pen clicker was someone to be watched out for. He stared at the ahjussi, at the pen he was holding. He even went inside the bookstore and converse with him, trying to get something out from the old man. He knew this ahjussi is hiding something and he has a possible link to Chairman Jo Sang Gook, Hae Woo's grandfather.
But of course, the old man also know him. Both are trying to outwit one another, by their stares, by being focused on each other's moves.
The highlight of this episode regarding YS and HW happened inside his apartment. He was on his way to his place when someone stabbed him by his sides, Luckily, it was only a graze. He held the criminal, but only to confirm who asked him to do that. Then he let him go. Staggering towards the elevator and to his door, he found HW waiting outside. he told her to go home but she didn't, then noticed he was hurt. She followed him inside, treat his wound and in the middle of the tension surrounding them, YS kissed her. She pushed him once but he kissed her again and she definitely responded. A sweet kiss between two souls who have gone a long way with so much hurt and longing for each other. A kiss that maybe from the memory of long ago. YS definitely is still in love with HW.
I should not be affected and feel happy for these two, knowing HW is still a married woman not to say to his friend. But the love story that was abruptly cut 12 years ago was so unjust and needs to have a closure. This kiss could be that or could be the beginning of another chapter.
And while confusion clouded both YS and HW, JY's father was mulling about doing the right thing. His conscience is bothering him. The wrong must be put to right and everything will follow. He knew his life will be at stake here, but he was ready for anything that might happen.
He did get hit and run by a truck. Who else would be driving it but the ahjussi pen holder, who I think is the hired killer for Chairman JSG. The chief prosecutor, though still not recovered was out of danger after being treated at the hospital. JY was so determined to catch the criminal.
What's so important about the photo was finally revealed in this episode. The reason why Chairman JSG was protecting that photo from being revealed to the world was because he was a fake. He was not the real Jo Sang Gook.
In order to prove YS accusation, he kidnapped the son, HW's father, leaving a cellphone with audio on while he was tied, duck taped his mouth and listening to the conversation transpiring between JSG and HYS.
The most anticipating answer to YS question towards the chairman about what will he do, reveal himself and confess or let his son die, let me hanging and clamoring for more after the credits rolled down the screen.
What a cliffhanger ending! Really something for viewers like me to hurry the time so that episode 14 will come sooner.
Oh...and the preview doesn't help either.
Was the chairman really guilty of all these sins? What made him do that and became a two faced man? Hae Woo's heart will surely be broken.
for now this is my review and recap...
