Age of Feelings/Inspiring Generation To Be Aired Next Year?

[단독]김현중 주연 ‘감격시대’ 결국 편성 불발…연내 못 본다

가수 겸 배우 김현중이 주연을 맡은 ‘감격시대’의 편성이 불발됐다.

KBS 2TV 새 수목미니시리즈 ‘감격시대’(극본 김진수ㆍ연출 김정규)는 당초 오는 11월 방송을 목표로 제작을 준비해왔다. 하지만 상황이 여의치 않아 결국 다음을 기약하게 됐다. KBS 드라마국 관계자는 16일 스포츠한국과 전화통화에서 “고위층의 최종 결정이 남아있지만 ‘감격시대’의 편성이 불발될 것으로 보인다. 11월 방송 시기를 맞추기 어렵기 때문이다”고 전했다.

‘감격시대’는 내년 편성을 목표로 계속 제작을 준비해갈 계획인 것으로 알려졌다. 김현중 외에 임수향 한정수 조동혁 등 주연 배우들의 캐스팅까지 이미 마무리된 상황이라 내년 초 편성을 바라보는 다른 드라마보다는 한 발 앞서 있다. 또 다른 방송가 관계자는 “‘감격시대’는 긴 시간 준비해 온 드라마다. 때문에 2보 전진을 위해 1보 후퇴한다는 마음으로 11월 편성에서 빠진 것으로 보인다. 보다 내실을 기한 후 내년 다시 시청자들과 만날 가능성이 크다”고 말했다.

‘감격시대’는 방학기 화백의 동명 만화를 드라마로 옮긴 작품이다. 1930년대 중국 상하이를 배경으로 젊은이들의 사랑과 우정, 애국과 욕망에 아파한 젊은이들의 이야기를 담는다.

Hello, Drama `Inspiring Age` will not air this November thus will air Next year instead. Organizers decided to postone the drama because it needs a lot of time and preparation to show good quality to the audience. China government also postponed the shooting schedule due to Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. Drama will start to shoot on November.

KIM HYUN JOONG’S “INSPIRING GENERATION” A.K.A. “AGE OF FEELING” POSTPONED TO JANUARY

Inspiring Generation, the manhwa-based drama set in 1930′s Shanghai, China about love, friendship and patriotism has been postponed to January and its November time slot has now been taken by Jang Geun Suk’sBeautiful Man.Apparently, a combination of casting problems (both Lee Jun Ki and Kwon Sang Woo passed on the lead role) and shooting delays in China have led to the postponement.The drama which also stars Kim So Eun and Im Soo Hyang is expected to air on KBS2. Wishing them lots of luck.

Reading all these makes want to cry! Not another City Conquest please! Not another drama/project to be shelved. But then again, if i will think the positive elements this is a great way to film a quality drama not hurried because of timeline or schedules. But on the other hand, pushing back the schedules may put stress on the already confirmed individual schedules of the cast. of course we are talking about at least 2 months here, from November and December. This is a 24 episode drama so it will somehow affect early commitment for next year.

Anyway, hoping and wishing that all will be as is, cast will stay and filming will go ahead. This is a big production drama with huge budget I suppose, and I believe this is an awesome project.

Cross fingers for a definite time slot early in January 2014.
