Plot

Min-Hyuk (Ji Sung) was born into a wealthy family. He has everything including good looks, intelligence, but he doesn't have kindness. He loses his girlfriend in a hit-and-run accident.
Yoo-Jung (Hwang Jung-Eum) goes to prison, because of the hit-and-run accident that killed Min-Hyuk's girlfriend. Her boyfriend is the one that actually committed the hit-and-run accident, but Yoo-Jung took the blame. She is then betrayed by her boyfriend.

Character Description


She sacrifices her future by going to prison in her boyfriend Do-hoon's place after he kills a woman in a hit-and-run accident. But in exchange for her devotion, he abandons her. Refusing to give in to despair, she emerges from prison a stronger woman who's determined to make a fresh start and live differently.
A second-generation chaebol who has everything but a good personality, he burns with revenge after the death of his girlfriend.
Once a brilliant and righteous prosecutor, he transforms into an ambitious man, hungry for power.
She is engaged to Min-hyuk, but is desperate for love because she can't have the one person she wants.

Finally I am writing my thoughts on episode 23. Even in this last episode, the King never took time to understand the heart of Prince Gwang Hae. It was so easy for him to think that Prince Gwang Hae will take his seat away from him. Yes, Gwang Hae admitted thinking of being a King but it does not mean he has a mind that could be accused of treason. Prince Gwang Hae advised his father that it should be the people he must worry about and not his face because what happens to the lives of the people makes a King's face. The King has not had the face of a king until now because he lacked the understanding and the heart of what his duty entails. His people are not happy and still suffers that's why those transcend to him as the King who over looks on them, giving him the face of not suited to be King. [mslee's thoughts] Ep. 15 & 16 - Secret Final Review

Honestly, I was not so eager to watch the final 2 episodes. Why? Perhaps I know the story is nearing it's end and there'll be no more Secrets to look forward to next week, Why do great dramas end so fast? Hmmm...sighing here. this is somewhat long... Episode 15 Anyway, last week's ending was another cliffhanger for viewers. The question hanging in my mind was, will Do Hoon win in this game he planned? Yes, it is like a game of hide and seek, hiding secrets and seeking the truth. Yoo Jung finally had the courage to go on and file a complaint against DH for abandoning her father leading to his death. Even as she warned him that she will go through with it, DH was initially shaken but he did not let her undermine him. He was afraid for himself, the reason he gathered all the documents that will make the two companies shake. By this time, DH knew what he had to do to survive.
