[mslee's thoughts] Man From the Stars - First Look : Kim Soo Hyun's New Drama is Worth the Wait

A week late posting, mianhe. This holiday season, all are busy with personal errands but mslee will try to update the page and the drama. Episode 2 screen caps below.

This is one drama I have been anticipating for a long time now from Kim Soo Hyun and I think that the plot of the story is very suitable to him. As of now, after watching the first two episodes I am pleased with what the story has got so far.

First impression was very interesting! I have counted on their on screen chemistry and Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Jin Hyun did not disappoint. The beautiful thing about this drama is that I will get to see them for a much longer screen time than in the movie Thieves where they captured already my interest. They just burned the screen whenever they are together! What an amazing chemistry they have got!

The drama is about an alien who landed 400 years ago, Goryeo era, [so that is assuming he has lived more than 400 years from his planet :)) ] who is handsome, have awesome powers that can make anything and anyone stand still, even time, as he walks through. He can also be fast, hear even small sounds and anticipate what's coming ahead. Hmmm, reminds me of Edward Cullen, hahaha. Of course, his looks is timeless, not aging and because of what he is, he exudes a formal personality, serious in character. His name is Do Min Joon.

While our heroin is a blunt, straightforward girl who never back down and says what's in her head. An actress who is very beautiful and famous but always being the center of attention for her reckless remarks which earned her bashing comments in the internet. But deep inside, she is hurting. She is Cheon Song Yi.

Not exactly sure if this is a reincarnation theme because it seems that the girl DMJ met when he landed on earth that he saved from falling from the cliffs and the girl he also saved running from someone who aimed an arrow at her. the girl he saved from being hit by a car and the present CSY is one and the same. 

DMJ is waiting to meet the girl he last saved from a car accident 12 years ago who looked exactly the same girl from hundred years ago. But he believes in fate. It was what he learned living here on earth. If it was destined to happen it will happen. He does not want to interfere with fate for he might be responsible for the consequences following. He learned his lessons.

The cute scenes were there right at the start of episode 1. The chance meeting at the elevator, the realization that he is one of her professor in school and that he is not the typical man who drools over her. He does not even know she exist let alone a popular actress! She must have felt irritated by the knowledge.

Anyway, I'm not posting recaps, just my thoughts and so far, I think MFTS/YWCFTS has given the viewers what they are looking for which made the drama got an over 15 % ratings already and it is only the beginning! Chukahae!

Well, a long awaited drama from Kim Soo Hyun and I think this is worth waiting for.
