[mslee's thoughts] Witch's Romance Episodes 11 & 12 Screen caps - Letting Go of Ji Yeon's Wavering Heart

Trying to move on...

But how to move forward when one's heart is wavering. When one is confused, not happy with her choice. 

One is moving forward hurting, one is wavering and another is letting go. This is the story of episode 11 and 12.

Our OTP Ji Yeon and Dong Ha are both trying to move forward separately as normal as possible. Of the two, Dong Ha is the one having a hard time accepting the fact that Ji Yeon chose Shi Hoon. Age seems to be one of the factor why Ji Yeon is hesitating to lean towards Dong Ha. She is wavering and confused. She doesn't know her own feelings if she will be honest with herself. She may have picked Shi Hoon but in her mind there is Dong Ha, always keeping her occupied and restless, even in Shi Hoon's presence.

In her drunken state, she went and slept in Dong Ha's bedroom. Seems she is missing Dong Ha badly her unconscious mind is leading her to him. Dong Ha should be happy but it only made him sad.

Shi Hoon has been patient with her so far, letting her wandering mind not to be an issue between them. But he must have known that her feelings for him are not 100% solely for him. He just came back. He should have known someone would occupy the place he left.

He knew she slept in Dong Ha's apartment, still he let it pass. He is still holding on. Ji Yeon is guilty but all she could do was make excuses, which seemed lame. The wedding plans are being arranged but Ji Yeon can't bring herself to meet with Shi Hoon for the details. She is always letting her busy schedules her reason not to go, letting him all alone in the planing.

Dong Ha is hurting but decided to find a new place. A new start without Ji Yeon. He even told her mother he liked her so much. The fact that Ji Yeon is firm in marrying Shi Hoon made him even more heart broken. 

She should be enthusiastic and excited to prepare but she is not. Even the photo shooting was delayed when her friend Na Rae had stomach spasms. She went to the hospital with her, not even realizing that Shi Hoon is waiting. No phone calls.

At this point I think Shi Hoon real;ized it is futile to move forward. He had to be the one to let her go, again. He had to do it. He saw her and Dong Ha at the hospital the way they are with each other speaks of how they mean towards each other. She is wearing her bridal gown yet she is in the arms of another man. He turned around and walked away.

At the studio she still came. They took photos but at the end, he broke the engagement.

The story should be this way but still it left a sad taste. They tried to be together, they tried to give it a second chance, but trying is all they have left. Someone's gotta give in. Shi Hoo knew it had to be him to let go.
