[mslee's thoughts] The Three Musketeers Episode 8 Screen caps - The Prince and The Princess

This episode is good. It unravels what the Princess feelings deep inside. She was able to talk and say what is needed to be said to the Prince. She has been trying to do her duty and what it entails but feeling short and a failure for the past five years. She is ready to fulfill her duty as the wife and bear him children but somehow, the Prince lacks the ability to answer or that he is simply not interested.

I feel her willingness and her dismay followed by sadness. She longs to be loved by a man. I think she may have Park Dal Hyang in her heart but she is also ready to start a new life with the Prince if only the Prince would notice her. She found out who Hyang Sun was and how the love the Prince had with her seemed the reason he could not open his heart to another woman. It is sad to see the Princess trying so hard to no avail. But then, perhaps her words would be the awakening the Prince needed to give her his undivided attention.

Between his fisrt love Hayng Sun and the Princess, I like the latter. She has a pure heart, unlike Hyang Sun who has a greedy heart. The reason why the Prince told her to die was not because he found out she was a slave of the real Mi Ryung who was sick and not fit to be a Crowned Princess, but he saw Hyang Sun pushed the poor girl into a well which killed her. The act was so callous and done in cold blood. Perhaps the Prince's heart was crushed but his love for her did not easily went away while it was doused with anger and disillusionment.
