[mslee's thoughts] Healer Episode 11 Review

Some highlights on this episode...

From previous episode, Kim Moon Ho found the wrecked old mobile phone of Young Shin that she lost in the elevator accident. No one knew about it except the three of them, Young Shin Healer and him, Moon Ho. 

But coming from the inside pocket of Bung Soo's cardigan, the mobile phone slipped out. He suddenly had a nagging suspicion why and how it ended in Bung Soo's possession. I think I can guess that Moon Ho is possibly thinking the probability of Healer and Bung Soo as one and the same person is impossible but at the same time he could not dismiss it altogether.

Then this scene happened right after he went home to his place and found his chest opened and some things were taken out. A call from his mobile phone coming from a private number. Guess who was on the other side? Healer had never spoken to any of his clients before but this time is different because he has lots of questions that needs answers and only Moon Ho can give him what he needs to find out.

This is a surprise and not anticipated by me. Yes, Healer revealing himself to Moon Ho. Face to face they talked.

At this moment, Moon Ho got his instincts right. Bung Soo is Healer and has been around with them for quite awhile now. He was asked about the photos found inside the chest. The five friends smiling from the past. Healer is very interested to know who they are and if he knew them. At this time, Moon Ho became certain who this guy is. There was a feeling of remembrance finding that once upon a time he was like an uncle to Healer aka Seo Jung Hoo as he baby sat him and Ji Ahn. He asked him about the Secret secret Island and Healer at first does not recall but then a scene from the past suddenly appeared in his head and realized it was him when he was just a young boy. He asked about the girl he was playing with but Moon Ho lied to him saying the girl died.

I wonder what;s running inside Moon Ho's head and what was his reasons for lying to Healer. I found it a bit confusing how Healer could not put two and two together about Chae Young Shin that Moo Ho asked for DNA. But then he did not know the story of the little girl so I think that's the reason.

He wants to find out if his father really killed his friend, Myung Hee's first husband. Moon Ho told him that the day Kil Ahn was killed, Moon Shik and Seo Joon Seok [Jung Hoo's father] were together with Kil Ahn. The only witness was Moon Shik. Joon Seok was suspected of murder and not yet convicted but he had no opportunity to clean himself of the crime because he died. Moon Ho tried to collect clips and evidences but it was too hard to do then. He told Jung Hoo/Healer that he is willing to help to find the truth and clear his father's name.

Healer continue to work at Someday news but he stayed out of Young Shin's side to which she felt a bit left out. She is finding it odd that Moon Ho and Bung Soo are working together. She is missing Bung Soo but he has his own assignment. While she was to take care of the woman staying in their house now that Hwang Jae Guk is dead, assumed to have committed a suicide but the investigator who is trying to find Healer is not buying the story and the letter that was left. It was suspicious but then the investigator seemed to think that Healer did that to make it appear he id not the murderer. 

One of the beautiful moments in this episode was the movie date between Healer and Young Shin. She e-mailed Healer asking him for a date. She told him she would not look even talk, just be there and watch the same movie, laugh and enjoy the moment. Jung Hoo was really surprised at her forwardness and left him still for a moment before he decided to go for it. The ahjumma hacker aka Min Ja cautioned him not to expose himself anymore or even flutter the girl's heart because he has nothing to offer to her. But Jung Hoo/Healer followed what was in his heart.

This is a very simple date. She waited for him and almost turned back when she thought he was not coming but then when she went inside the empty movie theater, she found lighted candles as she turned a corner and walked on. Inside the theater, there was a stuffed toy and a lighted lamp. She sat down silently. She felt his presence but stayed quiet. she was nervous yet happy at the same time. Any viewer could almost feel the tension inside that began to surround them. They both enjoyed the movie even seated apart.

When it ended, lights came on and she was alone, or so she thought. She walked silently towards the door but suddenly her hand was grabbed by Healer. I think my heart just explode at this scene together with Young Shin's heart. [lol]

The moment was intense, full of quiet feelings. Their fingers interlinked and held tightly for a few seconds as time passed by. She was not turning her head just letting the moment fill her heart. I know she was experiencing a rush of mixed feelings that moment. Then they let go of each other's hands. She started to walk away, a smile spreading in her face.

I am loving the pace of their romance. There is no hurry and it just suits the development of the story and there are still secrets between them. I love how both are nervous, hesitant yet following what their hearts whispers. But then I wonder when will she realized that Bung Soo is Healer? 

Myung Hee and Healer's mother met. They talked after a long time. Myung Hee told her that she does not believe that Seo Joon Seok killed Kil Ahn. then Healer's mother told her that she stopped the investigation because a man threatened him that something bad might happen to Jung Hoo. She did not say the name but only said that Myung Hee is living with that man. Moon Shik's greed will soon be exposed. I am waiting for the time Myung Hee will found out the whole truth and what would she do if Moon Shik lied to her after all this time.

In quest to know the truth, Healer is doing his own research even disguising himself in broad daylights to enter the Prosecutor's building to look for his father's documents related to the case. But there is none. He has to find a way and the only solution is to be himself, Seo Jung Hoo, son of Seo Joon Seok to have access to the files.

As Jung Hoo, he appeared looking like a young hippy, chewing a gum so different to the sleek, confident and dangerous Healer. But the files can only be opened under security clearance. while at the same time, Moon Shik arrived at Someday news and encountered Young Shin downstairs. He introduced himself as the brother of Moon Ho. They shook hands. Moon Shik has the look of a man who finally met his prey through wide smiles. Innocently, ignorantly Young Shin smiled at the man who could possibly be the culprit behind her trauma from her past.

The story is turning a new page. Everything can now be exposed.
