Upcoming Drama - High Society with Sung Joon and Uee via SBS

Another anticipated drama just because there is Sung Joon, the adorable and handsome boy-next-door and usually second lead guy in romantic dramas. Now he will be the lead role in one of the 3 big networks, not on cable and this is something big in terms of career. Maybe he was not the first pick but I am confident he will do justice for the role he is tasked to portray. I am still waiting to see sparks [hope to see some trailers, after posting this:)) ] with Uee as his leading lady in the drama.

Hope to add this drama in my list of dramas I am making screen caps and reviewing.

Plot

Jang Yoon-Ha is the youngest daughter of a chaebol (family owned conglomeration). Even though her family is extremely wealthy, she holds a part-time job at a food market. She hides her background as an heiress and attempts to find a man that loves her for herself.

  1. "High Society" takes over the SBS Monday & Tuesday 21:55 time slot previously occupied by "Heard It Through the Grapevine" and will be replaced by "Mrs. Cop" August, 2015.
  2. Actress Moon Geun-Young and actor Park Seo-Joon were offered the lead roles, but declined the offers. Park Seo-Joon appears in supporting roles in two films ("The Chronicles of Evil" and "Beauty Inside") and opted to spend time promoting those films.
  3. Early working title was "Chaebolui Ddal" ("Chaebol's Daughter") then changed to "True Romance" and then changed to "Sangryusawhe" ("High Society").
  4. First script reading took place May 7, 2015 at SBS Production Center in Ilsan, South Korea.

Finally I am writing my thoughts on episode 23. Even in this last episode, the King never took time to understand the heart of Prince Gwang Hae. It was so easy for him to think that Prince Gwang Hae will take his seat away from him. Yes, Gwang Hae admitted thinking of being a King but it does not mean he has a mind that could be accused of treason. Prince Gwang Hae advised his father that it should be the people he must worry about and not his face because what happens to the lives of the people makes a King's face. The King has not had the face of a king until now because he lacked the understanding and the heart of what his duty entails. His people are not happy and still suffers that's why those transcend to him as the King who over looks on them, giving him the face of not suited to be King. [mslee's thoughts] Ep. 15 & 16 - Secret Final Review

Honestly, I was not so eager to watch the final 2 episodes. Why? Perhaps I know the story is nearing it's end and there'll be no more Secrets to look forward to next week, Why do great dramas end so fast? Hmmm...sighing here. this is somewhat long... Episode 15 Anyway, last week's ending was another cliffhanger for viewers. The question hanging in my mind was, will Do Hoon win in this game he planned? Yes, it is like a game of hide and seek, hiding secrets and seeking the truth. Yoo Jung finally had the courage to go on and file a complaint against DH for abandoning her father leading to his death.
