[mslee's thoughts] Screen caps Episode 10 Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

 Bok Joo is still suffering from her one sided love. Finally her secret was revealed and the doctor not only knew about it but he witnessed her during a competition which was a surprise to her. Seeing him walking inside the venue when her turn was called brought mixed feelings to her. But more than anything it was painfully embarrassing for her to let him see the not so beautiful side of her in terms of physical attributes when she is a weightlifter and not simply the student Kim Bok Joo. Well, everyone is vain when it comes to love and of course everyone wants to put his/her best in front of the one they like. For Bok Joo, she is not ready to make the doctor see her as a weightlifter, after all she is just a girl in her first crush/love.

Joon Hyung saw her discomfort and her crying in a corner away from her team mates. He let out about her crush onto his hyung. Some kind of protecting her dignity but then he also blurted out how his hyung has been clueless of other's feelings particularly of him as an adopted brother in the family. Guess Joon Hyung has been feeling insecure despite the goodness of the family towards him. Maybe because he is getting so much love that he should be getting from his own real mother who "abandoned" him somehow.

A short rift between brothers, and thankfully, they reconciled. But Bok Joo is not only dealing about her personal pains but her coach was found out to be using the funds for personal reasons which in fact used to protect one of  senior team mates. It was better for the coach to let them fire her than to tell the truth. Bok Joo is not losing her first love but also the person whom she trusted as a personal trainer and a friend.


It's getting hard on her and even Joon Hyung's antics were useless to make her smile, let alone laugh. In the end, she just beak down to tears and was comforted by Joon Hyung. He is seeing her vulnerability and trying hard to ease her pains.

Ah, loving the development of the story. Soon, platonic love should be progressing to a much deeper kind of love, right? When Joon Hyung is still clueless of why he feels responsible towards Bok Joo and why he worry so much.

Looking froward to next episode. Should be a new chapter, a fresh start for Kim Bok Joo.

[mslee's thoughts] The King's Face Episode 23 Final Screen caps and Review

Finally I am writing my thoughts on episode 23. Even in this last episode, the King never took time to understand the heart of Prince Gwang Hae. It was so easy for him to think that Prince Gwang Hae will take his seat away from him. Yes, Gwang Hae admitted thinking of being a King but it does not mean he has a mind that could be accused of treason. Prince Gwang Hae advised his father that it should be the people he must worry about and not his face because what happens to the lives of the people makes a King's face. The King has not had the face of a king until now because he lacked the understanding and the heart of what his duty entails. His people are not happy and still suffers that's why those transcend to him as the King who over looks on them, giving him the face of not suited to be King. [mslee's thoughts] Ep. 15 & 16 - Secret Final Review

Honestly, I was not so eager to watch the final 2 episodes. Why? Perhaps I know the story is nearing it's end and there'll be no more Secrets to look forward to next week, Why do great dramas end so fast? Hmmm...sighing here. this is somewhat long... Episode 15 Anyway, last week's ending was another cliffhanger for viewers. The question hanging in my mind was, will Do Hoon win in this game he planned? Yes, it is like a game of hide and seek, hiding secrets and seeking the truth. Yoo Jung finally had the courage to go on and file a complaint against DH for abandoning her father leading to his death. Even as she warned him that she will go through with it, DH was initially shaken but he did not let her undermine him.
