[mslee's thoughts] GIF - Highlights of The K2 Episode 15

Image
Because the story was reaching it's climax that's why viewers were given a treat watching the best episodes of the drama The K2 starting from episode 15. All scenes were amazing and it was not Je Ha who I was really watching it for. The siblings, President Choi and Yoo Jin [played excellently and brilliantly by Lee Jung Jin and Song Yoon A] alone stole the spotlight from K2. Every lines they exchanged were great, their expressions and how they portrayed their calculating schemes were fantastic. Of course, for me, Yoo Jin was the core of the story . Anyone who had a scene with her shines just because the writer and the director gave her so much importance and a very deep character. Yes she was the villain, not going to justify her evil commands, because nothing can excuse them, not even her pitiful past. Every person has the choice of what to do, evil or good. Having said that, I praise for how the writer created Yoo Jin. A very interesting character and I think no one could h...

[mslee's thoughts] Temptation - Final Thoughts

Image
Honestly, I have been disappointed with the turn of events on this drama especially what the writer did to Hong Joo's character. I have always stated my personal take and I have always understand Hong Joo's pains while her decision to act on revenge is definitely a bad choice for her. But on previous episodes, I saw her growth as an individual character in this drama. It may have been a long suffering but still, her strength carried her up to this final episode of the story and I think she came out the most consistent honest personality. Actually, her "revenge" did not really matter because Min Woo acted on his own for his desire to defeat Se Young and Seok Hoon. So in the end, Hong Joo came to understand that she need not revenge for her own peace of mind. I applaud her for her forgiving heart. Yes, she has a good heart for easily forgiving Seok Hoon who betrayed her and their marriage of 10 years. Some say she is the one who let go but it is clear that Seok...

[mslee's thoughts] Temptation - Will There Be An Acceptable and Respectable Ending?

Sadly, I am not so keen anymore to watch the remaining episodes after what happened in this week's episodes [13&14], but because I have to see the ending I must. But my enthusiasm for the drama has gone sour for the way the characters have gone overboard in expressing their feelings. I have always understand Hong Joo and her pains and her inability to communicate her thoughts. I have seen her as the naive yet unchanging character when it comes to what she holds valuable like principles. But the way her character has been written to focus only on revenge is becoming absurd every week. Not that she is really the one executing the vengeance but rather her new husband, Min Woo. Still, she has not woken up from the nightmare she has been suffering since HongKong days. I love to see her in  peace, but the writer has not given her a minute of it yet. What's amazing is that despite her sole purpose of revenge, she retained her distinct character. Simple and money seems not her...

[mslee's thoughts] Temptation - A Marriage Without Love, Will There Be Happy Endings?

Image
Episodes 11 and 12 showed Hong Joo and Min Woo commit themselves in a marriage viewers like me saw as convenience. Yes, for both know where they stand and although Min Woo, I believe really likes her, Hong Joo has been honest with him that she does not love him. They are coming together with Hong Joo's ulterior motive is revenge and Min Woo is going to help her achieve that. Is the marriage doomed after all? Viewers who could not understand the character of Hong Joo are disgusted by her actions. I agree that revenge is not the answer for her pains but sometimes, in her case I would want the writer to give her at least one satisfaction that could ease the sufferings she still carries up to this point.  Let's give her a break. She has not yet completed the process of grieving and loss. Seriously, with her weak state, she needs to go through the stages before she heals completely. And if she thinks she will feel better to see both people who did her ...

[mslee's thoughts] Temptation Episodes 9 and 10 Screen caps - Hong Joo Is Getting All The Hate

Image
Highlights Hong Joo asked for divorce. Seok Hoon was dumbfounded, not really anticipating Hj's action. He tried to reason until the end if that is what she wants. He threw the rings and his wedding band as well in frustration but Hj is firm in her decision. Se Young found out and felt guilty of her share. She nagged Seok Hoon not to give up. [ironic yes] Seok Hoon departs to Brazil. Se Young saw him at the airport before he went away, a back hug, promising to come back and she should wait. [ seems he is really liking her] Kang Min Woo and Yoo Se Young in business fight. Hong Joo moved on with her life. Her father was angry at her after he learned of the divorce. Min Woo divorced his wife, children in his custody. The mother met Hong Joo, believing she is Min Woo's current girlfriend. Hong Joo left MW's mother. Min Woo apologized.
