Wow! I was actually anticipating this win for YOO AH IN! He played an unforgettable role as Lee Bang Won in Six Flying Dragons and it was an excellent one. An actor who has been able to immersed fully into his character. I am really glad that his hard work paid off. It is a well deserved acknowledgement from the jury to be the Best Actor in the prestigious award ceremony. And for course, SADO [ the movie where Yoo Ah In played the title role] the director also won the Daesang award. Congratulations also to REPLY 1988 team for bagging awards.  Well Descendants of the Sun deserves the popularity because it really was a big hit. But of course, my own point of view as I have watched the drama myself, I think that compared to other dramas which won the BEST categories, DOTS popularity brought them the awards but not the technical side of of the drama. This young actor has been catching a lot of attention in the drama series Reply 1988 with his cute character as Taek, the Baduk genius of the neighborhood where he grew up with supportive hyungs and the loud character of Hyeri as Deuk Sun along with their families. At first I did not notice his silent character because he was portraying a much younger character besides the others. But as the drama develops, I noticed his cute side and after my heart broke because of early shipping between Sun Woo and Deuk Sun which failed, I wanted badly for Taek and Deuk Sun to end up even if my instinct already told me that the story would probably and most possibly go for Jung Hwan and Deuk Sun as the OTP. I just love the pairing of Hyeri and Park Bo Gum in every scenes they have in the drama. Hyeri's character although most of the times loud, when it comes to Taek, she is like a noo...

Despite all the adult issues, antics and yelling here and there, cute Jin Joo always makes me smile whenever she was on screen especially with her caring oppa Sun Woo. It's heartwarming to see siblings like them, an older brother who takes care of his little sister. It has been a while since I saw this kind of sibling chemistry. Honest, pure, innocent and just sincere love of an oppa to his dongsaeng. Adorable...chincha. Should have made screen caps but then got no time.
