With yoonA's interview where she cited that San fell in love with Rin at the rooftop scene..and San in the last episode saying that Rin always saves her, I really think that somehow I missed something while watching the drama. Because from what I understood, this is the real thoughts of San towards Han Cheon aka Won. She learned that he is the crowned prince. The one who has been saving and protecting her all this time. She knew that he has the power to do so and she received them in bewilderment and unexpectedly those times she was in need of help. Now she knew it was him. The one who stopped her wedding proposal.  The tears... She was grateful to him.  And in that rooftop scene where she was saved by then unknown hands of Rin she said she fell in love. Episode 2 reveals more of how Won despite his royalty status stay attached to San whom he knew as So Hwa, the maid from long ago. He seemed amused and found himself interested towards this girl whose carefree lifestyle hid a painful past. Her company inside the cave was fun and he always knew if she was cold. His attention although divided between his friend and this girl in all appearances but she was never far from his thoughts. I love how he laid down carefully besides her. As early as this stage after meeting her 7 years later, his attraction was evident. Her status was never an issue for him. As a crowned prince he never thought that finding this girl lovable would be a mockery or something that should be regarded as ridiculous by others. His concern was touching. She needed warmth in that cold surface inside the cave. Not thinking that his friend would be a "rival" in the unforeseen future or that he would attempt to covet his woman... He let h...

Hi this is mslee1107 and since The King Loves is over but half of the viewers felt cheated or have a hard time moving forward from a story that is so compelling we have invested time and emotion loving the characters of Won and San.... I invite you friends to peek at WonSan thread /forum at soompi fir a much enlightened reads and analysis BASED on the script that we all have watched. @packmule3 has been writing amazing in depth analysis and some more friends there giving their own perspective of the story. We cant overlook the FACT that the story was ambigious and even yoonA's interview had revealed the staff's and prod team's vagueness or differing opinions about who the real otp is. Yoona's explicit rinsan endgame is how it looked like but she was only told about it when the shooting was almost ending. Since the drama ended, mslee is not yet over the story of WonSan. It is hard to move on when the ending seems open ended and possibilities are left by the Pdnim for viewers to indulge themselves. But I will not go there yet… discussing my thoughts on the ending of the drama. There were arguments from both half of the viewers of what the story did tell, but since I am in love with Won and San as the couple, I will go where WonSan thoughts are.  As Won is my favored character this is my way of telling his story as I understand him. Majestic Crowned Prince Wang Won in his final battle with the villains.  Final 2hour episodes starting tonight. Im Siwan has played Won showing his versatility as an actor. His screen presence have been worth watching. No one can deny how good he was in showing different emotions alternately in one scene.  I think Won has been written with great favor from writer SJN making him the hero viewers root for. He was written as intellectually moral and sometimes calculating if needs be, soft and gentle as a man loving one woman and with very forgiving heart to a friend... Until last episode Won has been waiting..waiting and waiting to hear the truth from people he trusted the most that is why betrayal of any kind was bitter and painful yet he is willing to let it go. If I am right (for I have not read the book) Then... SJN had deviated from the Won written in the book. She put her own interpretation to the character and most viewers of Won has seen the way...

I am posting gif from episode 33... For many these scenes showed San is not into our CP but if you look at it with neutral perception you would be able to see the scene as how it really was. What was being implied all along. San was about to ran away again! This was after meeting Rin at the bridge where the epic [fail] kiss happened just after San met Dan and was told to stay away from the CP. Wow..those siblings are really too much! As if they are ganging up on San's and Won's happiness. There is reason why she went back to palace...to see Won as he requested. She was not forced to return. She did it on her own after reading his request which she had given him by right when she gave him the promise ring. But because of what transpired before meeting Won she had a changed of mind.
