[mslee's thoughts] Short Review of Angel Eyes and Screen caps - Ep. 3

Once again mslee is late in watching the episodes of the drama. Well, I decided not to stress myself by watching it live then watching again with sub. I am now in it for the full enjoyment of the drama. But then, I find myself pausing the scenes and as usual made screencaps. Although this may not be  like what I used to do, recapping each episode, for now I am in the mood to share photos and some thoughts about the development of the drama.

In this episode, time elapsed since the operation of Soo Wan's eyes and Dong Joo's flight to America with his dongsaeng. His disappearance in Soo Wan's life was so sudden, the story will yet to rehash what took place after that and what is Soo Wan thinking of him.

The positive development of the characters are refreshing. Although there should be bitterness in one or two characters, but the passage of time made Dong Joo becomes a doctor and Soo Wan as a rescue member of the firefighter team. which is ironic in reference to their parents' job. She became what his father used to be and he became what her father is.

He came back to Korea as the new Chief in the Emergency Room of the hospital where Soo Wan's father is  still working. What is even more surprising is that the doctor has a close relationship with Dong Joo, the closeness is more than just a sunbae/hoobae but it seems that they have develop a really good connection through the years, which is exactly 12 year!

There was a short flashback of the scene where Jung Hwa [DJ's mom] was being saved by the doctor but in a short moment while he was still alone with her on the room, he let go of her chest while in the back of his mind, there was the thought of saving Soo Wan. Clearly, that scene, that moment which was not shown previously was crucial. That short pause of CPR and on the brink of taking off the oxygen on her mouth [maybe there was time to take it off or maybe it did not take place] was the deciding point whether she lives or not.  And we knew what happened afterwards.

The guilt of that moment stayed with the doctor, making him drink too much. He compensate that guilt by helping Dong Jook and staying in contact with him. The sad part is that Soo Wan is oblivious of what's happening. She remains ignorant of the relationship formed between her father and her long lost first love.

She has maintained her cheerful aura, making her sunbaes in the team scratch their heads on her being a stubborn and most of the times making nuances which resulted to receiving scolds from the chief.

I love their first meeting. Dong Joo automatically knew her after hearing her name being called. He watched her and smiled at her secretly. But she doesn't remember him, nor his voice.

The twist of the story is that Kang Ji Woon seems to be her boyfriend now or someone who cares for her deeply. Before the episode ended, Dong Joo realized that Yoon Jae Beom [ the doctor] is Soo Wan's father.

What runs in his head after learning the truth? Why conceal that her daughter received the donor's eyes? What happened to Soo Wan? Did she forget all about him?

Episode 3 is another good episode. Love how pretty Goo Hye Sun is with her smiling face and cute antics. The chemistry between them [Lee Sang Yoon] is so amazing. Every scenes they have together are all beautiful. They do connect with each other and their eyes talk every time they look at each other.

I seriously hope that the flow of the story will continue to compel me and the unfolding of the events and secrets will be smooth.

this is mslee sharing thoughts and a few sreencaps:))
