Episodes 3 and 4

The episodes has a lot of funny scenes yet some just cut right through the heart. Four rookies always on their toes but still keep making mistakes. Seo Pan Seok decided to train the rookies under his wings. Even though his instincts tells him to let them go, he wants to give it a try. With the Chief of Police backing up the rookies, he has no option but to go along. After all he was once a rookie, too with unresolved case. A case that still haunts him.

He first teach the rookies the basic knowledge. To stay put. Not bulging. To stay together inside the car for 12 hours!.Not an easy task for a start. Little things come up. Numbness of the limbs in a small space like the van. Your gallbladder will surely wants to burst. A stomach ache, a fart...[lol] which no one wants to admit. For almost 12 hours they endured. Almost. Eun Dae Koo opened the van door to everyone especially Eu Soo Sun who wants to finish the task. But Dae Koo could no longer endure the pain in his stomach. he ran out, followed by all of them.

Second assignment: find a particular gum wrapper. With a lot of trash bags it is like finding a needle in a hay. With a lot of arguing between Dae Koo and Soo Sun, the other two began to feel frustrated. Luckily, Soo Sun found the wrapper and all four went to Gangnam station looking like trash and smelling like one.

Dae Koo continued to be silent even if questioned by Pan Seok. He is not afraid to let him know Pan Seok does not scare him. He acts like he does not care what others think of him. He is one arrogant rookie. But Pan Seok is still controlling his temper. In one of their investigation of the girls being used to get money from wealthy men, they found marijuana in a grils toiletry's bag. An arrest was issued on site. Dae Koo got the phone of the girl and saw the man in the photo. He remembered the scene at the club where a man was shot. He was the drug dealer the other group of detectives are trying to arrest. He kept the information to himself, not telling to Pan Seok who is his team leader. When he saw Pan Seok talking with the other narcotics guy, he relayed the information. Pan Seok stared at Dae Koo but kept silent. I think Dae Koo just ignored his own team, his superior and make his own decision.

Kim Sa Kyung has bruises on her back. Pan Seok followed her in an office and put the patch on her back. The relationship is still vague as of the moment. There were hostility in her eyes and the way she treated him. She remained cold although Pan Seok looked worried and sorry at the same time. No explanations either of what was happening to both of them. It seems something terrible happened in their past.

The rookies were given their first official assignments. Both Dae Koo and Soo Sun will follow up on a stalking case while Park Tae Il and Ji Kook will investigate about medical theft. All were excited.

A girl was being harrassed through her SNS and mobile phone through text messages. A man was stalking her and she is scared. Dae Koo and Soo Sun questioned the girl but because the stalker has not done anything harmless physically, he only warrants misdemeanor which has only has a small fine.

Soo Sun wants to lock up the stalker. They provoked him to do something that will get an arrest. But they stayed and waited in the car until after 12 midnight and no stalker came. Dae Koo was so certain he won't come and let Soo Sun. She then got a call. But by then, the stalker arrived, met up with the girl who suddenly wants to end her misery. She brought the recorder they gave to get evidence and tried to call and leave a message to Soo Sun who was unfortunately busy talking on the phone.

By the time Dae Koo went to a convenience store, there he got a feeling that somehow he overlooked something. His instincts tell him the stalker made his move. He ran as fast as he can but when he reached Soo Sun, she was still busy talking on the phone. They both looked for the girl but it was too late. She was gone with the stalker.

They tried to find her. Dae Koo keeps remembering what he read in her SNS, the messages typed by the stalker. He remember the place where the two first met. At a park. Turning the car around he drove hurriedly towards the park. They shouted for her name. When they saw her, people were already milling around her. She was stabbed badly.

A good thing the Missing team was on patrol when they caught up with the runaway stalker. Sa kyung was mad when she realized that one of the things left in the girl's bag were the recorder and camera belonging to Pan Seok's team. Pan Seok was furious when he got back to the station. Both Dae Koo and Soo Sun were arguing with one another. Soo Sun was blaming him for leaving her on the post, very sure the stalker was already past asleep. But of course Dae Koo was not owning the mistake. Even if both were guilty of what happened to the girl, frightened that their mistake could be the loss of her life, still, they fought. Soo Sun was so angry, tears in her eyes but Dae Koo stayed arrogant. When Pan Seok saw them he let his anger rule and kicked Dae Koo.All hell break loose. Dae Koo fought back, yelling at Pan Seok, not one bit scared. He was so angry and frustrated by his mistake, he was letting his pent up emotions towards Pan Seok get the best of him, they brawl and he choked him. The rest of the team tried to separate them and finally succeeded. Pan Seok was so mad!

Dae Koo walked out and never came back. Not even a message to his partner Soo Sun. She hated Dae Koo for bailing out oh her. She was left alone. She does not want to give up, kept on apologizing but Pan Seok was still pissed of the situation. The mother of the victim slapped Soo Sun in front of her team leader and worker but she endured them all. The pain and the humiliation. Dae Koo went back to Mansa. There he walked around. Think. he had a conversation with his mother. Like hallucination. He cried. He needed to acknowledge his wrong.

Soo Sun wrote her resignation and put it in Pan Seok's desk. Both Tae Il and JI Kook were urging her not to resign. Dae Koo came back. She nagged him. They fought again. Tae Il was so tired of the both of them he put a shackle on their wrist, binding them together. Tae Il told them he was hungry and he will unclasped them after they ate. They all went to a nearby restaurant.

A young man was bothered by something. He was problematic. The students who were eating were all noisy and sobbed. Finally, he got angry. Stood up, walked to the kitchen, got a knife, locked the door and put a knife on one girl's neck. They were all surprised and frightened of the situation. He cut the gas line. They were breathing in gas.

Police were outside. Pan Seok got there. Through a binocular, he saw his team. Guess it was really a shock to see his trainees get on another mischief. They try to negotiate. In the end the rookies got hold of the crazy man and the situation was ended.

While breathing through mask, they remember Soo Sun's resignation letter. All four got on their feet and run. Pan Seok just stared after them, a small smile in his face.

The team of rookies are just beginning to acknowledge how hard it is to be a detective. But every mischief they get themselves to, they learn. And they somehow find the answer to succeed. The victim of the stalker was out of danger. At least, it won't put a scar on both Dae Koo and Soo Sun. Unlike Pan Seok, his scar was the murder of Ji Young's [Dae Koo] mother and his disappearance right after.

At the end of the episode [4] a man arrived at the airport and called Pan Seok. Dae Koo whose phone was connected to pan Seok also received the call. Both Pan Seok and Dae Koo heard the voice of the man. The man who murdered his mother. The killer is back!

I think Dae Koo will still hold grudge towards Pan Seok until he learns he is innocent. The story is fun, the humor pops out, but the dialogues sometimes put a lump in my throat making me tear up. There is so much more to reveal. The drama has depth. And the team of Pan Seok will definitely make this drama an awesome watch.
